Advertising Goes Canadian

Examples of Canadian Pride in Modern Advertising

Lately, I've noticed something stirring in the advertising world. Amidst the backdrop of Trump-era tariffs, a wave of quiet patriotism is seen rising in the Canadian advertising world. More and more brands are boldly incorporating “Canada” or “Canadian” in their messaging. It’s exciting to see advertisers stepping up not just to sell products, but to stand in solidarity with the country. It feels like a powerful campaign of patriotism, a reminder of what’s born, built, and believed in right here at home. This moment feels like more than just good timing. It's a brilliant opportunity to spotlight what Canada truly excels at, not only domestically but also globally. Kudos to all the advertisers embracing this trend!

I’ve been collecting snapshots of this trend online and OOH. Here are a few examples.
